Reed cutting and burning at Mercury Marsh

Reed cutting and burning at Mercury Marsh

What we do ?

The Wednesday Conservation Volunteers are a roving group of volunteers in South Hampshire who undertake practical conservation tasks to enhance and create valuable habitats and improve public access to them.

Who do we help ?

Our aim is to assist land managers to meet their responsibilities for conservation. We work for Hampshire Countryside Services, National Trust, Hampshire Wildlife Trust, the Borough and Parish Councils of West End, Bursledon, Hound, Eastleigh and Test Valley, English Nature, Southern Water and the Butterfly Conservation Society.

What do you achieve ?

Learn new rural skills, build your confidence and make new friends. Enjoy working outside in the best of Hampshire’s countryside knowing you’re making a active contribution to nature conservation.
